My name is Jenn and I am 26 years old. I have been overweight all of my life, but after becoming a vegetarian 11 years ago I lost a significant amount of weight. but not enough I went from 260lbs to 200 over a 2 year period. I recently moved from Long Island, NY to Georgia, the only good thing is there is a free gym in my community that I started using a few months after I moved here the end of May, I was 200lbs, currently I weight 184lbs the smallest i have been in years, I'm hoping to lose 40lbs by October of this year for my best friends wedding. My 25th birthday is in April and I hope to be halfway to my goal by then so I can put on a sexy outfit and FEEL sexy in it!!!!. and then eventually get down to 134lbs and run the NYC marathon in 2009..wish me luck.....my inspiration is from all the beautiful people on sparks that have been able to do it...thank you for that!!:)...

UPDATE: January 2010....Well I did lose 30lbs by October of 2008 and felt fabulous in the dress I was wearing in my friends wedding I was 157lbs the smallest I have ever been. I did not meet my goal of running the NYC marathon in 2009.After meeting my BF and getting way too comfy I gained it all back :(....I have restarted my journey on sparks and am on a mission to lose the weight and keep it off for good. Hopefully the 2nd time around will be the last time around...actually it WILL be the last time!!!! I decided not to change my page too much because looking at the pictures from when I was "skinny" is a big motivation for me to get back down to where I was and ultimately down to 130lbs like my previous goal!! I am going to try and run the NYC marathon in 2011 and give myself enough time to train:)

My Program:
I go to the gym everyday and do the eliptical trainer on strength 5 for 30-40 minutes anywhere from 3 to 5 miles...then onto the strength station where i work my upper body for about 20 minutes doing 20 reps of each set.....and i'm eating healthier and trying to control my portion sizes...i'm really lucky to have moved into a community that has a free gym, or else i would not have the means to join a gym....
