Thank you so much for thinking of Sarge and I. It means a lot to me. Sarge did have arthritis. At first we thought it was in his hips, but Sat. night when the Vet did the body scan, it showed the problem was his spine, not the hips. Just recently I noticed he was having trouble with his back legs. He was taking medication for pain, but who knows if it was 100% effective. Like you said, they do hide pain really well. Between the tumor and having spinal disease, we knew it was best to let him go. The link didn't work, but I do appreciate your thoughts. Tonight I found some pictures I forgot to post from last month. So you will see Sarge a few more times. He always puts a smile on one's face.
We have 3 left out of 11. Two died shortly after birth, Wheeler died in middle age from an ileus caused by dental problems, Stinker a couple of years later from G.I. problems. We didn;t lose any more until Rico Suave on August 23, 2014, Baxter on October 9, 2014, and Bun on March 10, 2015. They are getting too old to stand surgery. Blocker has a bad heart and bad teeth. Porkie has bad teeth. Runtster is okay so far.
