The Last Stand! I can do it!

I'm just a few pounds away from my goal weight but have struggled getting there! I love to work out and rarely miss a workout! My Challenges are: eating clean while traveling, managing the weekends and getting enough sleep as I manage a full time job and my young boys who have way too much energy!

My Goals:
I am in a healthy weight range but would like to shed a little body fat so that my hard work is more evident! I'm a Pescatarian! Meaning I don't eat any meat except fish. But I do also eat eggs and dairy. I don't eat foods with transfats or High Fructose Corn Syrup. My goal on food is to consume a clean diet but stay within a calorie range that will allow me to lose 1.5-1 lb a week.

My Program:
I get up at 5 Am everyday amd workout! I love Beachbody Fitness programs! Currently doing P90X! I'm doing my 6th rotation of this workout. I'm following a WW plan now!

Personal Information:
I'm a married, working Mom of 4. I work in the entertainment biz. We live in Minnesota.

Other Information:
I am also a Mom to a child with a disability! My youngest has Down syndrome and for a long time I focussed on my family and forgot about my own health. Once he has his last surgery and started sleeping through the night, I thought it was time for me. I've since lost all of the weight I gained with that pregnancy and hope to lose 10 more lbs. I am also hoping to share my knowledge and help others get to a healthy weight range.

Hi Sparks friend! I had a great race today, placing second in my age division! Wow it made me feel good!

REMEMBER-WHEN YOU BRING YOUR HEART AND MIND TO AN INTENTION; NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

Mini goals are so important. This week my goals are to:

1. Say NO to working any extra- I need me time!
2. Track all of my food this week- I got sloppy last week!
3. Run 12 miles and go to water aerobics twice.

What are your goals for the week? How can we support one another?

Hey sparks friend! Haven't seen you for a while. I am maintaining but it has been by the skin of my teeth the last week. Doesn't get easier but it is better than the alternative, right? How is your plan?

My goal for the week is to run 12 miles: 3 miles X 4 days. Keep me to it!

“The only time to eat diet food is while you're waiting for the steak to cook”

-Julia Child

I guess my point of this quote is that dieting is temporary, but eating healthy is forever.

emoticon What do you "indulge" in that actually helps you stay on track? emoticon

I indulge in dark chocolate (a small square) each evening.

Woohoo for your 7/13 blog! RIGHT ON!

Ralph Marston:
Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality.

I've had a super busy weekend with my Grandchildren;
Hanna is 4 and Will is 2. We went to the zoo and played here at home. It is wonderful to be with them and I miss them as soon as I say goodbye.

In many ways, I look forward to Monday. It is a chance to get back into my routine and my healthy habits. This week I am building up my running again. I have an 8 K on Saturday and I am running Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and I have water class Monday and Friday. The training is not tough but just time consuming.

This week I am picking up a couple of extra hours at work. I need to get the time when it is available. Although my job is not stressful, I do fatigue more quickly than I did previously. Hmm... maybe I am getting old!

Where have you been?

Some inspiration for this week:

Don't Quit Poem
by anonymous

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest! if you must; but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up, though the pace seems slow;
You might succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit;
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.
