It is great to hear from you! I am looking to lose about 15-20 pounds. I had gained a bunch back after my initial loss. Then I became lactose intolerant which helped me give up cheese and a lot of rich food containing milk. With my hypothyroid, I went gluten free and that has helped a lot with increasing my energy level so I lost some weight even though I still need to really focus on starting some sort of exercise regimen. We can do this. Hope to do a Minneapolis-St. Paul team Sparkrally sometime this summer.

I am sticking with it! I have learned that it's 80% what you eat, 20% exercise, and 100% what you THINK. The mind is the most powerful muscle in this weight loss journey! It really, really, takes a lot of mental work to get this right!!! I don't care to be "skinny". I don't even really care what Iook like. I want to be FIT and HAPPY and HEALTHY.... everything I do from now on needs to go through that filter: Does this help me be FIT, HAPPY, AND HEALTHY? and if the answer is NO, it's got to GO!!!

    Hi there!

    Re: RESET

I loved the way the shakes tasted, and I loved how I felt, but like everything else (for me anyway), it got a) too expensive and b) unsustainable. Life kept getting in the way. What I'm finding, as a teacher anyway, is that I am able during summers and breaks to be a very healthy person. When school starts though, and throughout the school year, it is MUCH harder for me to get to the gym, eat well, sleep right, and do all of the other things I know I need to do to be healthy and get weight off and keep it off. This year I went to the gym over the summer every single day. I ate well. I felt amazing. Had every intention of keeping it up. School started and 3 days in, I couldn't maintain it. School stuff had to get done and the only time to do it was when I planned to be in the gym. I went to the gym last in August. It's now March. I've tried to make more healthy meal choices at home, to compensate, but my choices at school are lousy.

The trainer was right when she said I wasn't learning to eat right, so that HAS to be a component of what you do on the RESET plan--look into healthy eating, so that when the shakes are not the primary source of nutrition, you know what you need to do. I know several people for whom it has worked and they are doing well--controlled portions, controlled eating, enough calories to live AND play… Good luck!
