More than a conqueror!

I JUST hit the BIG 3-0, and I THINK I am enjoying it (LOL). I am a veteran, a massage therapist, an aspiring writer, an amateur photographer (at best), a military wife (of 10 years in March!) and a mom to one spectacular little girl (and some very precious little angels). I am trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I recently lost thirty pounds and still have about forty more to go. I want to be a healthy example to my family and to be healthy myself! I am ending a battle with chronic ...
I JUST hit the BIG 3-0, and I THINK I am enjoying it (LOL). I am a veteran, a massage therapist, an aspiring writer, an amateur photographer (at best), a military wife (of 10 years in March!) and a mom to one spectacular little girl (and some very precious little angels). I am trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I recently lost thirty pounds and still have about forty more to go. I want to be a healthy example to my family and to be healthy myself! I am ending a battle with chronic lyme disease and have moved to California recently. Now, I am focusing on each and every blessing in my life..

I am a foodie by nature. I love to cook and love to eat (I assume that is due to being raised southern!). I like trying new recipes (especially during the fall) and restaurants. I (tried and...) cannot give up meat! A good glass of wine or a provocative beer will melt my heart every time! I admittedly enjoy WAY too much salt and cannot fathom what life would be without spicy food. For these reasons (and maybe a few more) "dieting" is completely unrealistic and heart dampening to me! So...I threw that out! LOL And began to focus on "being well." Everything in moderation! Right?!

Working out is a blast (when I am actually in shape LOL) but I have a crazy hard time pushing myself to get moving or go beyond my limits.

My Goals:
~finally be rid of all the excess weight I gained from health problems

LOTS of walking; doing my best to eat clean/whole/organic foods; and my personal favorite, JILLIAN MICHAELS work outs.

Personal Information:
I am from a little town in Texas and just recently moved to a big city in SoCal. I miss Texas and my family with all my heart! I love my life, my husband and my daughter. I am simplistic and enjoy the little things in life. I credit the ONLY God, Jesus Christ for my life (quite literally!) and each blessing that I encounter in it. I can be a walking contradiction at times....but that's just me!

Other Information:
I am have undergone an amazing treatment for chronic lyme disease and the transformation has been truly and extremely miraculous!
