The countdown begins...

I have just 6 months to reach that ever elusive goal weight! I have a picture in my mind of exactly how I want to look on that day - now I have to work to get myself there and make that dream a reality!

And just like everyone else that struggles with weight and healthy habits, I'm sad to say that I have fallen off the health wagon over the past few months. Work has been overwhelming and I've let myself fall back into old habits. Now it's time to kick those habits once and for all.

I joined SP about 1 1/2 years ago and made GREAT changes in my life, became committed to healthy eating and dedicated to exercise. But when you let other things get in the way, it's so easy to slip backwards. I'm now at my highest weight in recent memory and the muscles I had just a year ago are hidden beneath some extra fluff!

So now, I am re-dedicating myself to my goal. I want to start my new life with a new, healthier body and not to mention...looking hot in my wedding dress!

Fitness Minutes: 19,573

My Goals:
Resist temptation - I love food SO much! My goal is to resist that which is placed in front of me and have control. Splurge on MY terms, not just when something yummy is placed in front of me!

AM Workouts - this is the only way I stay consistent without sacrificing my evening time! It's worked great so far...continue feeling the AM burn!!

Hit that goal weight. No more excuses, no more delays. I can do it! No negotiating!

Be happy when I look in the mirror each and every day...even when that scale is not cooperating!


My Program:
BOOT CAMP:
This is my newest obsession - my boot camp class is the best workout I've ever done. On average, 650 calories burned in an hour! 5:30 am 3 days / week. No excuses!

RUNNING:
I miss my 5k's! Now, not only will I get back to those 5k's, but I'm beginning my 10k training and maybe to do another half marathon (maybe). So...Hal Higdon 10k training schedule here I come!

STRENGTH TRAINING:
I've started the P90X workout program to supplement my boot camp. Boot camp, although great, is not giving me the muscle definition I'm looking for. So, we'll see how P90X can bring these muscles back out!

Total: 6 days/wk of exercise, 1 day of rest.

NUTRITION:
I'm going for the calorie deficit - when everything boils down, it's calories in-calories out that matter. So...aiming for 1000 calorie deficit per day to give me a 2 lb weight loss / week.



Personal Information:
Highest weight ever and never again: 176

Lowest weight in recent memory: 143

Weight on re-start of my journey: 165.5
I've really let myself slip back into old habits - but those days are over!

    Hey Loren-wanted to stop by and say thanks for the goodie. Sorry it has taken so long to do so, but I've been so busy over the last few days and had very little time to spend at sparkpeople. In fact, I'm at work now! OOOPS! Oh well, again, thanks for the challenge last week!
