Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Heya, I'm Sean and I'm a nerd...who is more than pleasantly plump. I'm trying to get back to a decent weight of 240 (from 285) and hopefully reduce how much I get sick, as well as develop more respect for myself. I'm working on diet and exercise, coupled with a self-imposed incentive plan for electronics :-) Each 15 lbs. I lose and keep off for a solid week nets me a new toy. Hopefully with this site, the other tools I have and the incentive at the end of the metaphorical rainbow, I'll be able to pull this off.
-Lose 45 lbs. total
-Build good habits (dietary and exercise)
-Lose bad habits (eating out too often, drinking Pepsi)
-Feel better about myself
-Atkins for weight loss, diet management and breaking bad habits
-Wii Fit + random exercises to track fitness and get exercise in
-Mayo Clinic Health Coaching provided by my employer
-Occupation - Consultant
-Location - State College, PA
-Hobbies - Gaming, Movies, Music, anything nerdy
-Pets - Pooh (a black lab/chow mix who is also my best friend)
Try not. Do or do not. There is no try. - Yoda

Close to the first of 3 goals, yes I am. Once I hit my first goal weight, I will maintain it until I quit smoking (down to 10 per day of the lowest tar and niccotine cigarettes available so far). Once I have been cigarette free for two weeks and maintained first goal weight, I will re-set my ticker for the final ten pounds. It's just a plan I know should work for me.

Hi! I just stopped on your page to say "HI" and welcome you to Spark. I tend to do that to folks I find on the new or newly re-active page. You're in the right place to reach your goals, but promise that you'll stop in every day and log your water, log your veggies and fruit, log your food, log your exercise, and read, and post, and log your water, and write on someones page, and read some more, and log your exercise, and blog, and log your water, and LEARN that you are not alone, and we're all right here with you! Did I mention that you should log your water?
WHEW! Ok, I know you're overwhelmed getting to know this site, but use those buttons up there, especially the MY TRACKERS drop down list, and then either the START or MY SPARKPOINTS. Both of these helped me gain momentum and meet new friends.
Speaking of meeting new friends, this place is like a cocktail party. If you stand in the corner, you won't have as much fun. Make eye contact (or in this place, leave a message on someone's page, or add your opinion to the bazillion conversations going on) to say HI, and you'll meet new friends quick. Oh, yeah, WRITE A BLOG TOO! The catchy title brings folks to your page!
The recipe section is WONDERFUL to give you great ideas and plans that will satisfy you and become your new go-to-guide for success. There are even special teams just for guys, as well as many other areas of interest.
Explore, learn, and never be afraid to reach out for help. We're all in this together! Stop by at my page and introduce yourself around to some of my friends too! You'll be glad you did!
Success is inevitable!
