A Rose By Any Other Name . . .

I tend to obsess about my weight. But what I really want is to FEEL GOOD. And I've found that I really do feel good when (this may sound crazy) I'm working: exercising, planning, building, cleaning, learning, creating, etc.

So I'm trying to NOT focus so much on the 37 lbs. I've got left, and focus instead on the things that make me feel good and feel good about myself.

About me:
I'm a mom of eight kids, ages 17 to 6; they are fun, smart and funny.

I have a fabulous husband who thinks I'm the best thing ever (even better than sliced bread!) and who supports me in whatever I want or do.

I love to dance —especially ballet (and I'm in a class where I'm learning to fly across the floor again!)
I'd love to get into ballroom dancing with my husband—although I hear you are best partnered with someone whose shoulder you can see over, and my husband is 14 inches taller than I am. But since I'm not talking about competition ballroom, we would have fun.

I am a fabulous cook. (Sometimes this can be problematic.)

I like to sew, play the piano, build/create stuff.

That's all I can think of for now. :)

Hi there, I was surfing the recipes and ran across your simple seafood stew, wow was that ever good, I was craving a clam chowder or fish stew and found yours. Great job. I added a can of canned clams and used chicken broth, added some basil and parsley. yum, just like a restaurant would serve. I may check out some more of your recipes.

Hi there!! How are things going at your house....hope the new year brings you everything good...no GREAT!!! I live in northcentral Iowa...thank goodness it warmed up to a balmy -11 degrees LOL! Man it is mighty cold!
