Just want to be healthy!

My name is Laurie and I live in Florida. I work Relief shift (2 days of Midnights, 2 days of Evenings and 1 day of Day shift!) so I'm online here at really weird times. I'm trying to motivate myself to eat healthier and get active. I think once I turned 27 I decided that I wanted things to change and I this was going to be the year that I was going to not let things stay the same way they've always been. I think I'm off to a pretty good start so far. I'm definitely motivated to start eating better, although sometimes I kinda fall off track. I've also started working out, which is pretty freakin' amazing for me, since I've been pretty unmotivated to do that most of my life. I definitely would like to get to a healthier place in my life, so I can feel better about myself.

My Goals:
To pretty much just be healthy and in shape. I'm sure that's pretty much what everyone says, but that's seriously my biggest goal for the moment. I want more energy, I want to eat right, I want to be able to lose weight and keep it off, and not gain it right back. I want this to be a long-term thing, and not just a temporary change.

1st Goal - 199 lbs(anywhere under 200)
2nd Goal - 191 lbs (out of obese BMI range)
3rd Goal - 159 lbs (out of overweight BMI range)

My Program:
I've been eating a lot of lean protein, fruits and vegetables. Cutting out the soda, sugar, carbs, etc. I cut out soda, caffeine quite awhile ago.

Personal Information:
Hi, my name is Laurie, I'm 27 and from Florida. I work at a police agency for the records department, and get to work all night long and sleep all day. I have two adorable nephews that are great.

Other Information:
I'm training to run a half marathon! The Disney Princess Half Marathon on February 26th! I'm so excited and have just started training! I'm hoping this will get me in shape and motivate me to work on my nutritional habits as well!
