I can't remember when I didn't think I would look better 10 pounds lighter... When I realized I was now thinking I would look better 20 pounds lighter I knew it was time to make a change. I love the gym and like to work out - I do know my problem is the food and the amount of food I eat. I have a wonderful life but am an emotional eater and it doesn't take much to set me off! I would like to make this both a mental and physical change.

My Goals:
Reward: 140 pounds - new outfit!

Make healthy choices most of the time

Move a little extra every day.

Explore what makes me eat too much and what I am trying to avoid.

Treat myself as I treat the people around me.

My Program:
Log my food to see how I am doing nutritionally.

Go to the gym three times per week minimum

Find ways to add exercise to every day

Figure out how to be less sendentary in the evening.

Take a few minutes of quiet reflection each day

Thanks so much for your comments on my latest blog. I read the HuffPost right before I had to got to work, so I had several hours to stew and then collect my thoughts before writing my blog--and then they just kept on flowing! In the end, being good to ourselves, accepting what we have to work with and going about achieving our goals in a healthy, sane way should really be our priority. I don't think the HuffPost article promotes a healthy outlook and it was really dismaying to me to see them exploiting the vulnerability of a person whose issues, like many others, are very deeply rooted and whose weight struggles are only outward manifestations of those issues.
