Well, I have gained back all the weight I had lost. Stopped going to the Y to workout. Stopped tracking my food. It only took a few short months to gain it all back. I know what I need to do...now I just need to do.

I feel like I am on a yoyo because my weight goes down one day and up the next. I lose and gain the same 2 or 3 pounds over and over again. It is so frustrating. I have been at war for the past 26 years to keep my weight under control---some battles I have won and some I have lost. These last 2 years I was losing weight gradually until my 51st birthday. The weight started coming back on faster than it went away. I know I have to really get serious about my food choices and also change up my exercise routines if I expect to lose this weight.

I first joined Sparkpeople in December 2011 but I didn't stick with it for long. I guess I just wasn't motivated enough then. I am very motivated now and determined to get in shape and lose weight even though it is harder now than ever before. I am trying hard to track everything I eat everyday. I love the fact that the tracker breaks down by fats, carbs, and protein so I can see how I am doing and where I need to make changes. Sometimes I think I am doing good but when I see the breakdown I realize I am eating too many fats or carbs and not enough proteins.

I have been back on Sparkpeople for just a few weeks now and I am making progress everyday. I love this site, it has given me the extra push of motivation that I needed to get back in control. Thanks Sparkpeople!
