STOP THE YOYO...I WANT TO GET OFF!

I feel like I am on a yoyo because my weight goes down one day and up the next. I lose and gain the same 2 or 3 pounds over and over again. It is so frustrating. I have been at war for the past 26 years to keep my weight under control---some battles I have won and some I have lost. These last 2 years I was losing weight gradually until my 51st birthday. The weight started coming back on faster than it went away. I know I have to really get serious about my food choices and also change up ...

I first joined Sparkpeople in December 2011 but I didn't stick with it for long. I guess I just wasn't motivated enough then. I am very motivated now and determined to get in shape and lose weight even though it is harder now than ever before. I am trying hard to track everything I eat everyday. I love the fact that the tracker breaks down by fats, carbs, and protein so I can see how I am doing and where I need to make changes. Sometimes I think I am doing good but when I see the breakdown I realize I am eating too many fats or carbs and not enough proteins.

I have been back on Sparkpeople for just a few weeks now and I am making progress everyday. I love this site, it has given me the extra push of motivation that I needed to get back in control. Thanks Sparkpeople!

Thanks for friending me. I know we can and will reach our goals. Just one day, one step at a time. God is with us in all we do if we trust and lean upon Him. Have a blessed and wonderful day :-) Pam emoticon

I would like to tell you a story about the day I could not find my companion cat Missy. (You can see her picture on my page). She is not vocal. NEVER makes a sound. But, I could not find her anywhere. Now, she does not go outside, so she had to be somewhere in the apartment. So, I kept calling her and finally I head this little "meow" then again and again. It was coming from behind my entertainment center which is sitting in a corner. There is no way she could get behind it. I thought, "She is stuck". So, I turned the TV around and there she sat just looking at me. I said, Get out of there, how did you do that?" She just looked at me. I said "comeon get out". and she did and sat down in front of me and I told her. "Now you know you aren''t supposed to be back there, so go to your room and stay there for a while." So she walked slowly down the hall to her room and she stayed there for about 45 minutes. Don't tell me they don't understand English. Don't you just love cats? Lol. Have a blessed night. Judi. emoticon
