My Long Journey.

After a lifetime of yo-yo dieting, losing and gaining, using every fad diet known to man (and woman) I reached my heaviest weight ever (262 lbs), and am now suffering from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar, and onset fatty liver disease.

I thank God that everyday is a new day, whether we're picking up where we left off the day before, or starting over... again.

This is definitely a long journey... a lifetime journey.

Personal Information:
I'm a 54 year old wife, mother and grandmother. I was working a full time job as the Patient Coordinator at an Optometrist's office until August 2012. Although I've been in the 'optical' business the last 20 years, I was at that particular office only since May 1, 2012. I loved my job, my boss started out incredible, and I thought I was showing everyone that you're never too old to start over at something. It turns out there is indeed age discrimination out there. Office cliques are almost as bad as high school mean girls, and I realized I've come too far in my life to put up with that kind of bull. I'm in the process of job hunting once again.
Maybe it's time to start doing something I really like instead of what I'm use to doing.

Christmas gift suggestions: To your enemy, forgiveness. To an opponent, tolerance. To a friend, your heart. To a customer, service. To all, charity. To every child, a good example. To yourself, respect.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with blessings!
