Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth Jefferson, but I go by Liz. I live in a quiet rural town called Coleman in Texas. I am a stay at home mom. I have four beautiful children that always seem to amaze me every day. My oldest, Tyler is 12 who is now totally “jr. high-fied”, my second, Averi is 9 and she is just such the "girly tom - girl", my third, Hannah is 4 and she is, well, she is a typical 4 year old with an ornery streak in her a mile wide, and last but not least is the "Divine miss ...
Hello everyone, my name is Elizabeth Jefferson, but I go by Liz. I live in a quiet rural town called Coleman in Texas. I am a stay at home mom. I have four beautiful children that always seem to amaze me every day. My oldest, Tyler is 12 who is now totally “jr. high-fied”, my second, Averi is 9 and she is just such the "girly tom - girl", my third, Hannah is 4 and she is, well, she is a typical 4 year old with an ornery streak in her a mile wide, and last but not least is the "Divine miss O", Olivia that is, and she is 2 years old and is definitely the "little princess". I have been married once and that is who my first two children are by and the youngest two are by my lovely fiancé of six years. We recently got married on June 12, 2010 and so far are enjoying every minute of our married lives. We are a Catholic family and have completed the long process of getting married through the church. I am a stay at home mom, but also do childcare out of my home, so I have 3 more wonderful children that I care for and love dearly. They are all 5 years and under too. So a house full of toddlers, only two older children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats, 5 goats (two mamas and 3 babies), and a husband.....No, definitely not, are there any dull moments around my house! :0)
I am also an active adult volunteer in our local 4 - H program and participated myself for 10 years, where I showed rabbits in our local stock shows. I love to go deer hunting, do some flower gardening with my Iris, Cana, and Marigold flower beds, shopping, and just spending time with friends and family. I love to read to my kids and have done so even when they were inside the womb. I read to them every night, and yes, even my 11 year old still loves to be read to. I have a friend who has just written her first children’s book and I love it! The title is “Thunder Monsters” Written by Jan R. Carrington and Illustrated by my friend Judia Terry. It is based on her (my friend Judia) true feelings of her fear of thunderstorms. And if anyone is from Texas, you know how frightful a good ole Texas thunderstorm can be.
I have been attending Ashford University (online) for over two years now and am pursuing my bachelor's degree in early childhood education. This is a career I started when I was 15 and have loved what I do for ever. I love children and the challenges they provide throughout life. I think I have become a lifelong student, because I plan to get my masters/doctrine in this field after I finish this goal. I now have 9 months left and will graduate October 24, 2011! I enjoy volunteering with my son’s Boy Scout troop, various community events, and especially volunteering when ever my church or family needs me. I look forward to meeting new people and having a fun, yet very productive year as I walk through this weight loss journey of finding a new me and the me that I have lost one step and one day at a time. Life is a challenge, but we must always live it to the fullest and be thankful of what God has given to all of us.
