I'm a 40-something school administrator with a great life! I need though, to make my health a priority as it's starting to impact the quality of the life I lead. I need to be a better role model for my own children and the children in my school.

I have diabetes, and am on oral meds, but would like to better manage my diabetes and perhaps decrease some of the meds that I currently take.

My Goals:
• Get more sleep. I will plan to be in bed no later than 10:30 p.m. in the evening.
• Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day
• Make healthy food choices
• Track my food intake daily and manage appropriate carb and protein intake levels
• Exercise daily - at a minimum, walk for 15 minutes, but more time is better


My Program:
I have written down my goals and will track my weight weekly, my food daily and my exercise weekly. I am using sparkpages and another place I post to keep me on track.

Personal Information:
I am lucky enough to live on the Front Range in Colorado. It's beautiful here! I have a great job and I have two great kids and two awesome dogs! Life will be improved by more of a focus on health and fitness!

THANKS FOR ASKING ABOUT THE GYM, STARTED ON TUESDAY GOT UP ON WEDNESDAY FELLING GREAT NOT SORE AT ALL, I HAVE A WONDERFUL PERSONIAL TRAINER GEORGE, SO ON WEDNESDAY SUNRISEWOMAN AND I WENT TO THE GYM AND YES, I OVER DID IT TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH HER,,,,, emoticon

PUT THAT OK.... GOING ON FRIDAY, BACK WITH MY TRAINER, LOVE TO HAVE YOU GO WITH US ONE AFTERNOON OR ON A WEEKEND, ON THE WED SITE 24 HOUR FITNESS YOU CAN PRINT OUT A FREE WEEK, WE GO TO THE ONE ON AUSTIN BLUFFS

Welcome from another newbie to SP and to the Colorado Springs area. I've been here a little longer than you -- almost 3 years! It's hard to believe it's been that long. Time sure flies.

Let's agree to hang tough in 2009 to see our weight loss goals realized.
