My name (nickname actually) is Lola, and I LOVE pineapples!

I began my SP Journey on January 6th, 2008 my heaviest weight ever= 291.6 lbs (yikes)

I have been overweight for most of my life, but more significantly so these past 5 years. I am sick of being the overweight girl in my group of friends. I am sick of shopping at plus size stores and spending more money while watching everyone around me buy the clothes I wish I could wear.

I am done with this! I am ready to begin a new life. I am ready to rethink the way I eat and live. I have tried a few diets in the past, always starting strong and tapering off. Not this time. This time I am ready to commit. I want to work hard and fight the weight for the next year and a half, and then maintain after that. When looking back at the last five years I think I should have done this already, but maybe all those failed attempts are what will make this one work! A year and a half is such a short amount of time when you think about it.

I also have a wonderful boyfriend, (not on spark people but he is dieting with me)! We have been together for 7 years, and though we are not engaged yet, I hope someday we will be, and I don't want to worry about my weight when I am ready to get married. I have a Yorkie who is my exercise buddy, and a very supportive best friend and mother. I am looking to expand my support network, and I know sparkpeople is the right place for that!

My Goals:
1.) *Lose the first 5 lbs!*
I did it! On a great start!

2.)*Drink 8 glasses of water every day.*

3.) *Lose the first 10lbs!*
Accomplished on 1.26.08!

4.) *Lose 25 lbs. *
Goal met on 3/29/08! WooHoo!

5.) *Join a gym!*
I joined Bally's on 2/2/08!

6.) *Get a personal trainer!*.
Got a personal trainer (Steve) on 2/5/08!!!

7.) *Valentines Goal 08'- lose 5% of my body weight (15 lbs).*
Goal met- in fact I lost 16.6 lbs and surpassed my goal!

My Program:
My program is about communication. The more I talk about my efforts, the more motivated I am to continue with them.

Another part of my program is exercise! I HAVE to exercise to loose weight. Diet alone doesn't work for me. I feel better about myself when I break a sweat!

I am 5'8" tall

I began SP wearing a size 22, I am now a size 20.

My ideal pant size is a 12

I have a Yorkie!

I love pineapples and strawberries

I have a cereal addiction

Other Information:
My favorite SP team is Holiday to Holiday challenges. I recommend this team to anyone that wants to enjoy the encouragement and support of a great group of people who look to each holiday with small goals, but share day to day triumphs and struggles as well.
