Hello and welcome to my page...my name is Joanne -everyone here calls me Jo.
This is my story-
I have had this excess weight on me for 15 years now. This is the time I'll be the best weight for my age and height! Yes...
After reading a few other home pages I decided to add a little to mine.

I am 58 years old now. If you ask my sis Mary she'd say I was older LOL!!!- not. I am only 5'1" -very short ..

Mary got me into Sparks and I love every minute of it.-the help the advice the support!!

This is the Year- just have to get there one lb. at a time!!

It is 2013 now and I have passed my 5th year anniversary and going for year 6 soon enough....so thought I should update my page. I have not made it to goal yet. I was real close then what happened? This will have to be a blog...lol because I can not put my finger on the why.
I feel the best way to explain is I was maintaining and stopped weighing myself each week. then started slacking off on counting calories --they were all over the chart I'm sure...and less exercising with lack of enthusiasim.. for it all ---got myself so involved with family and becoming a 2nd time grandmother I forgot about me! NO MORE!

I've not given up - as a matter of fact I have re-commited to doing it- till the end in 2013! I will work my program- eating healthy...healthy snacks and all- my 8 glasses of water and more then 30 minutes of exercise everyday with strength training thrown in to keep me toned.
If I lose 1 lb. at a time again so be it.
My last statement said one pound at a time..that's what I have done before so will do it again with no problem.

It is now March 17th of 2013-- still doing it --Working the program and trusting the process-- I am not losing a pound a week like I wanted to but still not gaining ---all is good!

My Program:
watching my calorie intake -eating only heart healthy foods no fast foods and no fried foods.

exercising 45 min to 60 min a day- strength train 15 min. everyday but a different part of the body..

drink more water-minimum of 8 glasses per day.

not restrict myself to living .. and enjoying life!

first grand son was born March 21/09 named Markus!

first grand daughter was born August 12/12 named Amelia!

I live with the kids-helping them while they are at work by babysitting the grandkids

I am retired

-love hunting fishing camping & traveling

Other Information:
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis &- Fibromyalgia but I will not let these things stop me from being as active as I can and to get as healthy as I can!

Ah Jo you are so right, I can't do 100 at a time. I normally break it up to 4 or 5 sets... I think to do 100 would kill me!

Thanks for the goodie, and the 'well wishes' too, Jo!

We did not get to go to the movies after all, ended up doing a bunch of errands instead, and then today Meaganne and I looked after Emily again.

I hope that Markus is all the way better by now! Cooper was sick all week, and they were supposed to be taking him to a dr. yesterday (Thursday) but I haven't heard what the outcome of that was.

Have a great weekend - stay warm and dry if you can! LOL

I always thought that being allergic to sweets by breaking out in fat all over...was a crack up. Glad you got a gige out of it too. lol. Bev
