Hi! My name is Melody. I started sparkpeople 3 and a half years ago, but never fell in love with it. I came back in January because I was looking for a cheap, effective, weight loss program and fell in love with Sparkpeople. I am a single mother to four great kids. I have a lot of weight to lose and I am determined to get healthy. I am sick of being tired, worn out, and achy! I wanna be happy with myself! This year is the year that I am turning my life around- every area of my life!

I am doing The Biggest Loser workouts, zumba, insanity, 30 day shred, tae-bo, running, cycling,

My Program:
I am following the sparkpeople program. I count calories and use the things that work for me that I have learned from other diet programs that I have tried. I also work out for an hour 5 days a week. My favorite workouts are Zumba, running, taebo, exercise ball workouts, strength training, cycling, and running. I am currently training -slowly- for a 5K.

Other Information:
I read everything I can get my hands on.

My favorite movies are romantic comedies.

The Valleys Of Life

We love to have the mountaintop
Experiences of life
To be in Godís presence worshiping
Where our spirits soar so high

These times are to be treasured
For all that God would do
So we will be better equipped
For the valley we must go through

For itís down in the valleys
Where we are surely tested
Where we need more of Godís grace
As we share the gospel message

Where God does a deeper work
Revealing our true selves
Removing all thatís not of Him
Like unbelief and doubt

So our lamps again can shine
Without the smudges of sin
To clearly reflect Godís light inside
That once was burning dim

So others can see the hope we have
And be drawn unto the light
So they too can come to know
The saving grace of Christ
