Two steps forward, one step back

I am a 52 year-old lawyer with a twenty year-old daughter who goes to college over a thousand miles away. I have two step-sons, one 23 and one 26. They live on their own but are still somewhat financially dependent on my husband and me. I joined Sparkspeople in August 2006, but continue to struggle with my love of sweets and my tendency to overeat when stressed or bored. I love to bike outside, spin, and hike. I used to love to run but injuries have prevented it for almost two years.

Thanks for your comment on my blog! I AM fortunate they were home to help decorate -- I realize those days are numbered!!! Sorry your daughter isn't going to be home til the 23rd... BUT -- like you, my husband and I have been "rediscovering" the joy of doing things together since we are alone ALOT more these days...

I just posted on my blog and it is all thanks to you Laurie. I am not in my Happy Place, but I am going to focus on what I CAN do to try and recapture at least some enthusiasm even if I can't physically raise my endorphins.

I know you have not been in your Happy Place lately and justifiably so. I sincerely hope that somehow I can help you get through this rut. Lets do it!!! Thank you for visiting my blog!!
