I saw the pictures and read the stories of people who had lost so much weight. I have always been heavier than others my age. It just hit me a few weeks ago at work that I need to do something. I know that I need to take control now and do something about it. I look forward to sharing my progress with you all and I looking for much needed motivation during my journey.

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to loose 75lbs. I am going to start out by setting milestones along the way. So for now I am trying to loose 20lbs by May 31, 2010. My B-day. That will be a sweet reward.

My Program:
At this moment I am trying to watch what I eat and I am starting back working out. I love to cook and that has been my weakness in the past, but I am going to turn that into a strength for the future and cook healthier.

Thank you for the compliment and adding me as a friend, and I will add you as well. It feels great to know that I motivated you. In all honesty I do the same thing. I may not feel like going to the gym or the park and then come on spark and somebody in some way will motivate me. Anytime you wanna talk or need motivation I'm just a-click-away. emoticon

I saw your posting over at Staying Fit=Having Fun Spark Team.

Resistance Training is training with Resistance Bands and Coach_Nicole has several videos using them. I like the Strength Training under "Low-Mount" where you attach a resistance band to the leg of some heavy furniture. I have been doing the Low-Mount Leg exercises with some success and leave the band attached and even do some Curls and Tricep Kickbacks.

Resistance Training is less apt to hurt you but don't be fooled - you can still hurt yourself by overextending.

I am not sure if I will join that team yet but you can always find me through my spark page if you have additional questions. I also leave my trackers open to the public.
