Winter round of 5% Challenge starts Jan. 14th! I'm still gaining, but have started the Prime program to detox and will be AF for the month. Get rid of the candy, the cookies, etc. and bring on the fruits and veggies!
Gearing up for the 5% Fall Challenge to start Sept. 24th! It's been an interesting summer.
So now the 5% Summer Challenge starts! Not sure why I signed up, except that I like the team I'm on. They're a pretty active, positive bunch. I've been at this for 9 years apparently and I'm at a higher weight than when I started. I will take stock of just what I'm doing and what I did when I lost the original weight and get this taken care of! It's just one of those small annoyances that you CAN live with, but would rather NOT!
5% Winter & Spring Challenges weren't much better!
5% Fall Challenge was a TOTAL failure! I gained even more! Same goals for the Winter round; just keep pluggin' away!
5% Fall Challenge starts Sept. 26th!
I've continued to gain for the last couple years but I've upped the exercise the last month and am getting a handle on the excess calories. Looking to lose 7 - 10 pounds in 8 weeks!
Well, here it is a new year! I've been saying for the last 2 years that THIS would be my year and all I've done is gain weight.
Tom and I have spent the last year moving and getting him fixed up and, 3 surgeries later, we're ready to have a great year. Plans for this year include 2 trips to Iowa to see his only grandchild and one trip to WY to visit with some of my family. I WILL lose the weight this year.
I've been a member of Spark for several years and it's all sinking in, slowly. I'm getting much better at portion control and only eating when I'm hungry. Also making sure that I don't keep a lot of snack food in the house. It's certainly a lifestyle change for the better.
Finally found a new job! Not really where I want to be, but definitely better than where I was. I'm currently driving 50 miles one-way to work but trying to find a house to rent or get a loan to buy one closer.
I've continued to gain because I just can't seem to stay off the 'liquid calories' (beer, energy drink, and Coke). Getting better though!
Lose 15 pounds in the next 8 weeks.

(Walking, elliptical, and Jessica Smith workout videos)
Yoga at least once a week.

SO SORRY your not feeling well hon !! This is something I've done for a longggg time. I was on a med in which I could NOT take any over the counter meds,, so if I got a cold,,, I WAS STUCK with just vicks (which did help with congestion). If you get pomegranate juice ,, it can be an ocean spray brand ,,, so cran and pom,, etc. Drink 3 8oz glasses a day,,, it'll end much faster and be soo much easier on you.
After this to avoid getting a cold,,, if you start drinking RIGHT OFF ,,,, it will NOT hit !
