Greetings All: I'm part of the over 50 is the new 60,70,80, etc. So with my young heart, I need to find my "young body". Just moved to Gwinnett County, Georgia in June. I was checking back to see how you are doing and I hope you haven't quit. It really makes me sad to see how many people give up. I've lost 26#, which is 1/4th of the way to my goal and I will never quit, because I'm a SPARKER.

I know you joined Sparkpeople because you care about your health and well being. You can do this.
DON'T QUIT.
Sign in every single day and be honest with yourself. You are worth it. I don't want to sound like a cheerleader, but this is a Lifestyle change and you need to love yourself. I'm doing it and I know you can, too.
DON'T QUIT.

Being fat is hard.
Losing is hard.
Maintaining is hard.
Choose your HARD.

Hi and welcome to SparkPeople and our 50+ Members Team where you will receive lots of support and encouragement from everyone. Just post any needs, questions, comments or suggestions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
You have come to the right place. Take advantage of what Spark has to offer. I want to see you accomplish your goals. Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Remember to just take one day at a time on this journey of a lifetime. This journey consists of many small steps, a few speed bumps and pot holes, and a lot of fun. I will be here for you and try to help you on this journey to your goals. YOU can do this!!!
Be sure to drink plenty of water (8 - 8oz glasses a day) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of weight loss and lowering numbers. Start small if that is all you can do and add to it as you feel fit. Even 5 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. It's good to meet and have you with us.
God bless you on your journey to a new beginning. Take each day as it comes and enjoy it to the fullest!!!
