Lindas Weight Loss Journey (Ongoing)
I was not ever a heavy or overweight person until I got married back in 1982 I married into a family that likes to eat and cook and dine out in big delicous proportions.And I happily participated. It is definately my own doings and choices that made me overweight and depressed. Always and since I have been up and down in my weight and fitness levels and mood and outlook . It is definately my own doings and choices that made me overweight and depressed. Always and since I have been up and down in my weight and fitness levels and mood and outlook . As is alot of stories I hear I always gained back at least 5 more lbs with each succesive weight loss. I have been at a weight of 126 all the way to 188 lbs.
Began Sparking March1 2008. I had been achieving a slow but gradual weight loss through a combo of things mainly calorie counts and limiting carbs and having a membership at Curves. I dropped my Curves membership in Oct 2009 due to having to make some cutbacks in the budget. The past 1and 1/2 years I have regained my weight back. + 5 more. Mainly because I thought I could indulge in foods that are not (wol) Way Of Life foods on a daily basis and in large perportions.
I really fooled myself into thinking I wasnt getting bigger. Well I did again This is the third time I have done this. I know the third time is a charm. I have learned alot from my past fails , and I will say succeses
It is an ongoing struggle as I love to eat good food and I like to cook good food. The struggle is becoming so much more less. I have made some great changes in my life .
A trip to my Dr in July 2010 confirmed very high tryglycerides and cholestral, so now I am faced with a real challenge change my ways or get ready for serious health issues. Have made some small changes such as no fried foods (although i did eat 3 onion rings yesterday) (UPDATE )2 moths later, I have not been indulging in any more deep fried foods) I eat more foods that are straight from the earth and the good Lord.I love corn on the cob and green beans but unfortunately these are starchy veggies that I am limited in my consumption of. So I am learning about some different foods to eat. I have lost a few lbs so I will continue and see how it goes.
UPDATE ( Have lost several pounds consisitently every week since August 2010) I even started exercising again. I have joined a Yoga class beginning. I also drag out my VCR tv and drag out old vhs exercise tapes. Remember Cindy Crawfords workout I also have Susan Powter. If anyone has seen these and worked out to them you know you are EXERCISING More to come later....

Become more fit so I can have more energy to be creative, to ride my horse well to be fit and healthy when I have grandchildren some day. to be attractive to have something to be proud of.
Watching my food choices and eating times very carefully. No between meal snacking. Moving much more.
Tracking everything I eat. My calories may be a little more or less every day but I document as close as I can everything I eat.
Learning to be accountable to the choices I make in eating and in life in general
Check into SP every day sometimes more than once my SP friends are the best in the world for support and encouragement!
