I'm a 40-year-old mother of two (a 9-year-old and a 7-year-old) and want to lose 10 pounds and live a more consistently healthy lifestyle. (Fitting into my old jeans won't hurt, either!)

I read a really motivating comment the other day that people who successfully create a healthy life for themselves think of exercise as something that they MUST do, rather than something that they SHOULD to do. I want to make sure that I stay on track and prioritize my health and self-care, despite any obstacles or challenges.

I just recently took up running, and I'd love to speak with other runners. I'm also interested in finding online buddies to share my journey and provide inspiration to each other as we strive to meet our goals.

My Goals:
My goals are: to lose 5 more pounds by July 1, to run another 5K in the Fall (and run the entire thing this time!), and to continue to drink more water every day. Longer-term, I'd like to get down to 125 by the end of the year.

My Program:
10 minutes of walking with the kids every day, 2 30-min cardio sessions 2 days/week (running or other), strength training 2 x week, water every day. Long run once a week on Saturdays.

My name is Lisa and I live in West Dundee, IL. I have two kids and work full-time as the owner of a web development firm. I am also a Stampin' Up demonstrator, but I mainly do that for fun and because I'm ADDICTED to stamping!
