Frodo was the first dog we got after returning to Phoenix. We rescued him in 2001.

Thank you for your comment about me keeping up with my steps, 7,258 of them! LOL!

My late hubby was a runner. (He passed away several years ago due to bile duct cancer.) He did the Boston twice after qualifying after doing his first marathon; plus a number of other marathons, and races. He was very active in his group.

However, that being said, his running group started an annual trail run in his honor to raise money for scholarships for students.

But I will have to say, although they are a great, awesome bunch, they stuff their faces after a run with nothing but sugar stuff like donuts, candy, whatever. And it's sad because they have lost several members due to heart attacks while running; as a matter of fact one of them passed away just like this past Sunday. Sugar is very inflammatory and will clog the arteries like you will not believe. I just hope that when you are done running that you eat some protein and fresh fruit instead of processed stuff.

Take care and enjoy your running! emoticon

I just stopped by your sparkpage and discovered you live in AZ too (I'm in Tucson). I saw that you did the Lost Dutchman marathon in 2010 -- my mom and I have been participating in the Lost Dutchman off and on over the last 6 years (we walk the events). But it's a pretty area. Good luck training for your upcoming races!
