Daddy en route to a healthy lifestyle

Hi everyone & Vive La France huh huh huh!
After getting married and enduring a twin pregnancy alongside my wife, I too gained weight, even though not blamed on babies! These babies and my wife, however, are the main reason for my goals. I plan on loosing ~40lbs by April 2008, in order to get back to my ideal weight and maintain it. I could not think of better motivation.
Thanks to SparkPeople I finally have a way to efficiently track my calories, exercise, etc... This tracking system is also providing me with unbiased and external accountability, which prevents any slipping into the Dark Side of Junk Food and High Fat/Calorie Food. I am sure I will make it but SparkPeople will surely make it much easier!

Good Luck to everyone.

My Goals:
Be fit and maintain my ideal weight of 195lbs to be able to enjoy life to the fullest with my family.

My Program:
It's all about consistency and being responsible about your choices. Life's a game so set your own rules but be sure they're to your benefit! A few rules I try to go by:

- There is noone responsible for your health but yourself
- No excuses, ever
- Keep sight of the goals and the reasons for them
- Enjoy the ride. The way to a healthy lifestyle should not be boring, nor excruciating.

Holy crap! I haven't been by lately. Great job! You've passed Nick!

You need to send me that crepe recipe. I made some crepes for friends for desert with weekend (with nutella). It was sinful, but it was company and they didn't need to lose weight! :)

Keep up the great work. I'll get back in the game in 9 months. :)

So did y'all make the shells again, or are those left overs from the last time? LOL I love that recipe because I whip out the frozen portion and I have a couple days of food when I don't want to cook!

I would love to try one of your smoothie recipes but we don't have a blender!!
