Tailgating with my mom, September 2011, 50 lbs lost
Costa Rica, January 2007 -- at or near my largest, probably in the 240-250 range

I've been heavy all my life. Or so I thought; my parents always commented I needed to watch what I ate, and a while ago I saw some photos of me from high school. While I was heavier than all the stick-thin students, I looked fine.
I gained weight in college, then after college, then after I started dating my now husband, then a little more after we got married. He was a skinny-mini, but I fixed that -- he gained about 50-60 lbs. after we got together. (We've been together 15 years).
In 2009, at my highest weight of 246, I started Weight Watchers. Hubby joined. We're foodies and like cocktails, and travel and culture, and entertaining. We don't do fake fat or fake sugar -- we're just reducing portion sizes and increasing our fruit/veggie intake (and increasing our activity). By last spring, hubby had lost 45 lbs (he's since found about 15 of those, so he's gotta get those off, and he'd like to lose an additional 5-10. In December of last year, I hit the 50 lbs. mark -- need to lose another 45-50.
We travel a ton, and don't limit our food when we're in another part of the world. We want to truly savor that other locale, including food, drink, history, language and culture. We try to eat very mindfully, increase our activity, and plan to take off any gains when we return to our daily lives.
All in all, we've been very successful! We've done it very slowly, and the habits seem to be sticking. I've gone off the plan for a few months at a time, and the most I've ever gained back is 9 lbs.
My goal for 2011 is to take another 25-30 pounds off -- we have a Caribbean cruise scheduled for December, and I'd like to feel better in my (much smaller?) bathing suit when I'm out snorkeling!
2009 -- Starting
I'm trying to get healthier and would love to have more energy -- I've put on too many pounds since high school and would like to get back into the active habits I once had -- and even be more active than I was.
After years of thinking about taking action yet doing nothing different, my job's health plan recently added Weight Watchers memberships free for employees. I went to my initial meeting on 1/22/09 and weighed in at 246.2. With my husband following the program with me (he's hoping to go from 235 to 180 -- he's 6'2") we're hoping to reach our 10% goals (lose 10% of our weight -- 24.6 lbs for me, 23.5 lbs for him) by the time we go on a cruise at the beginning of May.
Ultimate goal: 154 lbs.

Weight Watchers PointsPlus program as of December 2010 (started in January 2009 with the Weight Watchers Momentum program), but using no sugar substitutes and not relying on non-fat or low fat items. Basically, I want to continue eating what I always have, but in more sensible portions in addition to increasing fruit & vegetable intake and increasing (adding!) exercise.

1. AWESOME page background!
2. Thanks for the comment... I really needed that. I'm totally outnumbered here by the Fake Fats Folks. I just think that "healthier" should actually MEAN something. Like... how is all that fake stuff healthy. Ugh. (LOL)
Oh - and I gotta tell ya... my mouth dropped open when I read how much you've already lost. OMG that's just SOOOOO amazing. I don't know how I'm going to do it... (read: I had 2 bags of chips today!)... but I know, that - as you said - I'm not going to give up!
