Well, here I am BACK AGAIN!! It's been over two years. I joined a local Tops club and have been doing really well, for the past 8 months! I just won the award of being my Chapter's Spark Plug. (encourging others ,etc.) At the Tops Fall Rally! I love my group and I'm well on my way to reaching my goal! The State winner in Tops was at the Rally and I saw that she was on SP , so I decided to come back once again. I can never get TO MUCH encouragement!! So Hello everybody!!

My Goals:
To go slowly~ Not to make it a diet but a life style change that will last my life time. Eat to live not live to Eat!! Be a role model for my two daughters ,so they won't follow in my footsteps and become unhealthy due to weight.Share my love of life but don't do it through food. Have more faith in my God to put my trust in him to accomplish this goal

My Program:
To be accountable for everything I put into my mouth. Count those calories
Drink my water daily
Stick to my water aerobics three times a week
Strengh exercise of some sort daily
Get enough sleep each night
Bring out any inner beauty I may have and share it with others
Reach my goal to be happy and healthy

Personal Information:
My name is Pam and I live in Sierra Vista,Arizona. Was a Military wife for 22 years and traveled the world with my soldier husband and our four children. Have six grandkids now I just adore. Love making new friends and seeing new places. Very active in our home church and women's Bible studies. Love just being around people! Love my husband of almost 38 years dearly. I'm 54 years old and hope with the help of SP , friends and family , I will stay movitated to attain this goal of weight lose. It's not that I have let my weight keep me down but I know down deep inside of me there is a much thinner person just screaming to get out!

Other Information:
Love to watch a good movie, like a sweet romance or faith driven movies : such as, Love Comes Softly or Fireproof. Enjoy anytime I spend with my kids. Love meeting new people on SP and finding old friends on Facebook!
Always remember it takes so much more energy to frown then to smile. Something so simple as a SMILE can be sunshine to someones day! :-)) And always , always , WALK BY FAITH...

When we feel the satisfaction of accomplishment we are motivated to take on new challenges. Knowing that the attention and resources we’ve channeled into a certain goal have brought us success gives us the confidence we need to take on more responsibilities. We also have a greater understanding of our own personal strengths, and that knowledge enables us to make good choices about the plans we make, the tasks we take on, and the new goals we wish to set for ourselves. We are ushered along by the momentum of our own success, and greater success naturally manifests as a result. Use today’s accomplishments to fuel you into action by taking on more endeavors, and you will enjoy still greater achievements.

ARE YOU STILL FOCUSED AND STICKING WITH IT?

WE'RE MISSING YOU!

emoticon Greetings and emoticon

Congrats on taking the next step to reaching a healthier you by getting active with SparkPeople - it's a great community, wonderful resources and fantastic support.

Please check out the SparkTeams - I think you will find a lot of others 'just like you' there. That's probably the best place for you to start!

You can choose SparkTeams by age group, lifestyle or interests, geographic location or several other ways - some of the teams you might like include the Official 10-minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge, Starting Over Weekly Mini-Challenge Team, 10k Steps A Day and Motivation & Positive Attitude Plan but there are so many to choose from, you can have a great time looking for the ones that seem to fit you best! In fact, I suggest joining more than one group, post your intro there and write blogs as often as you can - you will find tons of friends and support that way, I promise!!

In my experience, SparkPeople is like a emoticon in some ways - it's lots of fun and easy to make friends because we're all in this together. I like the way a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE is emphasized instead of a 'quick fix wonder diet' so it's good for people wanting to lose weight, maintain a previous loss, get healthier, improve fitness and many other goals - it's about waaaaaay more than 'just' losing weight so you have definitely come to the right place!

emoticon

If you ever need any help using features of the site, there are tutorial videos under the HELP section that can show you how to use the features of the site. You can also find them on the START page and several other places on the site.

emoticon

If you haven't already discovered The Spark book and/or the SparkDiet linked at the bottom of the START page, check them out - the program is simple but extremely effective. There is a TON of information on this site - so much it might even seem overwhelming but fortunately we don't have to 'digest' everything at once! The FastBreak program is a good way to start.

emoticon

Another nice thing about SparkPeople is that we have permission to be human - we don't have to change everything at once or be in a hurry to reach our goals. Take a few baby steps and then a few more and before you know it, you'll have completed a long journey - I hope you enjoy this community as much as I do - it teaches us how to make positive lifetime changes because that's the only thing that will work over time!
