I'm an LA beach girl living in Ireland the last 10 years. I'm single, with no children and for the last 10 years have always taken the LAZY eating plan... fast food, microwave, UNHEALTHY.... why not when my clothes have gone from shorts to bulky sweaters!

I'm getting older (late 40's) and realizing that I WANT to be healthy. I WANT to have some control over what I'm putting in my body and what I'm doing with it. I am so tired of losing 30 -40 every year and putting it back on again and then some! I lost 60 pounds last year! Don't know why I choose to sabotage myself... but... it's time to get fit for 50!

Tracking carbs, proteins, fruit, dairy and fat

Cut out all fast food and microwave meals (unless made by me)

I'm cooking!

Planning meals

Drinking LOTS of water

Swimming every other day

Taking it one day (one meal) at a time

Thanking God for his help and all my supportive people in my life

Personal Information:
I'm Irish born but lived in Los Angeles from 10 months old. I am now 48 and have been living back in Ireland the last 10 years. Don't see it as somewhere I'll always be.... can't get used to the climate (too wet, it's a high price to pay for being known as the Emerald Isle!). For now, I love travelling Europe, but the USA will always be home.....

Other Information:
It's a lifestyle! Diets work while you're on them, but once you've lost your weight???? In my early 30's I lost 120 pounds on a program where you eat their food. I worked so hard and swore I'd never put it back on.... I'm now 49 and doing it AGAIN! It's taken me a while to get around to it because I kept telling myself I CAN'T do it again.
