I'm a thirty-something mom to two wonderful children, 6 and 3. I lost all the baby weight after my second child was born, but then it crept back on after he was weaned, leaving me at 135 pounds and feeling and looking fat. (135 pounds was what I weighed when I was 20 weeks pregnant with baby #1, as a frame of reference.)

When I was younger, I didn't eat well, but I was thin and fit. I lifted weights 3x per week, and danced 4x per week, so I could get away with soda and cheesesteaks without it taking a toll on my appearance. As time passed...I wasn't working out as much, but my diet didn't improve, and it started to really show. One of my challenges is that I'm a working mom, so I have a hectic schedule that doesn't always allow time for a workout.

My goals were to get back to being in great shape, and this time to do it with a more grown-up and healthy diet. I started running and doing bodyweight exercises to get there in June 2008, and started the Turbulence Training program in October 2008. I've dropped 25 pounds in all, and over 10 inches. I'm not sure where it will go from here, but now my focus is on increasing my strength while maintaining or improving my body shape.

Weight - 118 - accomplished Fall 2008
Pushups - 50 with no break - at 35 currently
5K - 28 minutes


My Program:
Right now I'm doing a new TT workout each week with running sprints, bodyweight circuits, or kettlebell swings for my intervals. I take a kettlebell class once per week as well. I am also trying to "eat clean" and using ESE to fast once per week.

I work in the financial services industry. Some of my hobbies include recording voiceovers and singing.

    Hey there, saw your comment on the boards about gaining a little weight over the weekend. I am a scale-aholic and have noticed that I can gain as much as 5 pounds in any given day and then lose it again. You probably already know this but to gain a pound of fat you have to have consumed 3500 calories more than you used over a period. So you would have had to have consumed 10500 *extra* calories (on top of the ones you used to live) since last Thursday - impossible!! I bet you this is just water weight. So hang in there, I'll bet you it's off by tomorrow!
