LIVINTODAY I'm headed out for a walk even though the temp is near 90 and the humidity is over 80 per cent....pray for me! Ha! I will survive!

My Goals:
Long Term Goal: To be a very healthy, very old woman, surrounded by great-grandchildren and still living independently and enjoying my life.

I want to be as healthy as I can be at age 67.

I want to lose weight to a goal my doctor has set for me.





My Program:
It has been a long, dry season for weight loss and I need to get to work.
I recently read "Younger Next Year" and I'm determined to add regular every day exercise! I WILL get up to an hour at least 3 times a week - according to the book, everyday would be optimum! I just need to MOVE; that is the component that is missing!

Personal Information:
I grew up in Michigan, ND and Grand Forks, ND. Graduated from Central High School and attended the University of North Dakota for one year. Returned to college when I was 44 and graduated - now that felt good. I live in Beavercreek, OH. My husband was stationed here for his last Air Force assignment and we stayed in the area when he retired from the Air Force.
I've retired as of January 1, 2011!!.
I've met the goal of getting back to quilting finally. Two small projects completed recently. It keeps my hands too busy for food. I also love reading, spending time with friends, and traveling occasionally.

Here's a tip to keep you on your Spark plan:

Enjoy and fill up with seasonal produce! Visit your local farmer's market or take advantage of the bountiful crops from your garden. Add produce to everything you eat, including topping pizza with veggies, adding more vegetables to soups or scrambling eggs with veggies. This enables you to fill up on high-fiber, low-calorie foods rather than unhealthy options!
