Charlie & her daughter, Skylar.
My girls - Joy, Charlie, Skylar & Tobi.
I'm 40 years old, married to the love of my life - my very best friend! I have 3 step-children who are out on their own now (YAY!!). My husband & I raise AKC German Shorthaired Pointer's. We currently have 7 of our own!! I also have chickens & Ringneck Pheasant's, but I'm an outlaw & not supposed to have them. LMAO!!
I have Multiple Sclerosis, Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (it has been present since I was a small child, but it's very slow progressing) and Fibromyalgia (which brought Chronic Fatigue with it) - I refuse to let them get the best of me - I embrace my illnesses so that I can live fully with them. My 'thing' - Get up & move while you can!!
I am on this journey because I want to enjoy my children, grandchildren, our little Farmette, etc. & continue to be mobile & able to enjoy life!! And, it wouldn't be a bad thing to look hot too!!
Our dogs are kind of our life...I know, we're obsessed! LOL! You can see them in action (as well as our kids & chickens!!) at http://www.youtube.com/gspcountry. That's our You Tube page & we have a lot of fun with our video's. LOL!
Please don't hesitate to send me SparkMail or put a comment on my page. I can be somewhat 'reclusive' but I promise it's not you. It's just one of the 'symptoms' of a couple of my illnesses...it's pure exhaustion and I barely have enough energy to take care of myself and my family. So please, don't take it personally!!
I'm also on Facebook. Be sure you let me know you are from Spark People if you try to add me as a friend!! www.facebook.com/Pace.Amore.SiRide
1 - To not forget myself.
2 - Keep moving!
3 - Stay on a daily schedule!!
Cardio - 3 days per week with at least 1 active rest day (cleaning coops, walking dogs, etc.) and 1 true rest day.
Weight Lifting - 3 days per week, concentrating mostly on upper body (because of my spasticity I can't really work my legs too much - they're ridiculously muscular already!).
Wii Yoga/Fit Cardio - 2 days per week.
My husband & I live in the country in a small community in Indiana. We started a small Farmette raising outlaw chickens (they're technically not allowed) & GSP's. Most of our land is fenced in for our dogs. I LOVE living in the country - it's something I had never done before...I wouldn't trade it for the world!
I love my husband, dogs, birds, music, cooking, reading, weight lifting, boxing, going for long walks, hiking, playing with our dogs, cuddling with my family (dogs included!) on the couch on a weeknight evening after dinner...
