Spring has arrived!!
Time to get cracking again with those exercises and a good diet routine.

I have a couple of bible verses to share with you today:

1 Corinthians 10:13
"No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it"

and also:

Philippians 3:13-15

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;

Keep pressing on...keep on reaching for the goals that are set before you and me. With God's help we can do this!

My Goals:
Revised goals for 2017

To put God first in my life where He belongs and live my life the way He wants me to.
To get and be healthy.
To lose some weight and get my labs down before my next doctor appointment in June.
To reset my sleep habits so I no longer have problems with insomnia...more zzz's = better health!




My Program:
Continue to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

Exercise and nutrition commitment:
Keep to a heart healthy dietary regimen. I need to stay on a low sodium, low carb diet. Keep my calorie intake between 1200-1500 per day, and my sugar intake below 25mg./day.

Use stationary bike at least 30 minutes/day.
Do my stretching exercises for my knee every morning..
Find fun and new ways to keep active while dealing with arthritis in my knees.

I am 62 years old and live in Washington State.
I have been married for 38 years, have four adult sons and one adult daughter..
At last count our pets included one cat and one dog.

I have been a homeschooling mom for
almost 30 years, and now I am looking for some other meaningful way to fill my hours and days.
Hoping I can find a ministry to be involved with.

    Hi Sue ~ Love the new color scheme of your page. Very pretty! I'm just getting back on track myself. I've left diet soda behind (again) and have gotten the sugar out, except for fruit. I'm also cutting way back on white foods.

    I've been doing physical therapy exercises and just got back to going to the gym 2 or 3 days a week. I really need to move more. And my numbers aren't great, either. I have until my appointment in June to get them under control. Otherwise I'm looking at medication. Don't want that!

    Hi Sue!

    So good to hear from you. Our weather has been pretty goofy here, too. What is happening to our world? I saw on the news this morning that California is suffering from flooding and mudslides. But here we're in the 60's!

    I'm sorry to hear you bruised your knee. I've just finished a few weeks of physical therapy for my back, and the hardest thing about it all is to realize I can't do what I used to do. But I still keep trying to get away with it. It's time for me to face the facts - I'm middle-aged. I don't like that one bit.

    I haven't had a lot of energy to tackle projects, either. My computer room is desperately in need of decluttering and cleaning. I just don't want to face all the piles of paperwork that seem to spring up overnight. It isn't even really an overwhelming job, I just don't want to do it. Ha! I do have my energy back, though, after having that virus last week. I felt like I'd been run over by a truck and left for dead. I think I got it at the hospital, cuz Mom was admitted for what turned out to be an obstructed bowel. It did reverse itself and she is home and getting her energy back, too. Life!

    Take good care of yourself, my friend. Slow down, rest, accept help. Oh, I hate even writing that - I never take my own advice. Have a beautiful day and keep in touch!
