A new year calls for a new beginning and a new start.
I am starting once again with the intent to do better than this
past year. I have done this in the past and I know it is possible to
succeed in achieving my goals.

But this year I am adding two others to it:

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you.
Matthew 6:33.

My Goals:
New Year-New Goals

To put God first in my life where He belongs and live my life the way He wants me to.

Daily Bible Reading and prayer time.

To begin anew to live a healthy lifestyle.

To get a good night's sleep on a consistent basis.

Keep my priorities in order.
To return to a simple lifestyle.

Immediate weight loss goals:
Lose weight regained 5 lbs at a time


My Program:
Get a good night's sleep
and track the progress.

Stay on my low sodium,
low protein dietary restrictions and keep at the low end of my calorie goals. Lower intake of sugar to below recommended levels...25mg/day or less.
Stay on a heart healthy dietary regime.

Walking the dog for 30 minutes or more per day at least 3 days a week.
Do elliptical for at least 10-15 minutes a day and increase as time goes on.
Add in Strength training for about 15 minutes 3X a week.

Find fun and new ways to keep active .

My name is Sue.
I am 59 years old and live in Washington State.
I have been married for 35 years, have four adult sons and one teenage daughter..
At last count our pets included two cats and a puppy.
I am also a home school mom of 28 years and am currently home schooling the youngest of my children, my daughter.

Sue- the 5% challenge is an 8 week challenge. Each week you have a special challenge like drinking 8 glasses of water, tracking food etc. There are weekly weigh ins. You record your exercise minutes. There are about 12 teams with about 40 people on each. Right now people who were on the Spring challenge are signing up for the Summer challenge. It will probably open up to new people at the start of June. Saw your review on the chicken taco soup. Couldn't believe they were calling over 1400 mgs of salt per serving low sodium!
