HELLO ALL,

WELCOME! to my Spark Page.

Come, sit down and have a cup of tea while we get to know each other!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

Spring has arrived!!
Time to get cracking again with those exercises and a good diet routine.

I have a couple of bible verses to share with you today:

1 Corinthians 10:13
"No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it"

and also:

Philippians 3:13-15

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;

Keep pressing on...keep on reaching for the goals that are set before you and me. With God's help we can do this!

emoticon on the 4 pound loss! emoticon I'm ecstatic for you!!!
That is really great. Changing what we do helps and I'm sure all that planting and yard work was a good surprise for your body. I lost one pound, but I will take it. We're both heading in the right direction!

I made some muffins with whole wheat flour, real sugar, fresh blueberries and raspberries and some ground flax. YUMMY, but a high-cal treat at 210. And I managed to get out for a short walk. It is absolutely lovely today. Breezy, warm. Too bad the flowers aren't blooming yet - it would have been perfect!

I'm ready to sit down for a while and read a book. Maybe doze. Sounds relaxing, doesn't it?

    Good Morning!

I found that icon under the "other" tab next to the green peace sign. I looked in fitness but didn't see the one you did.

Got my PT done this morning and I'm thinking about whipping up a couple more new recipes. My "heat and eat" stash is running low. Well, there are a few things in the freezer, but I want to use up the groceries I bought so they don't go bad.

It's supposed to reach 72 here today. emoticon A great day to get outside and get some exercise and fresh air. Good luck getting that berry bed finished...

    Good Morning Sunshine!

Yesterday was great. I accomplished a lot at home and that always makes me feel good. The laundry I didn't finish yesterday is in the washer and dryer and I think I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the day. My thighs are still hurting from Tuesday, when I overdid on the elliptical at the gym. I took Wednesday off, went back Thursday and didn't work out as hard and I'm taking off today. I'll be back at it tomorrow.

It's cold here today and my body was so stiff this morning. Supposed to get into the high 50's but very windy. We'll see. Enjoy your day and give those poor knees a rest. Don't want you ending up in one of these! emoticon

    Hey there, Girlfriend!

WOW. You really got some fitness in yesterday, didn't you? Are your knees okay? When you get everything planted and landscaped and all, please post some pictures so I can see the fruits of your labor.

So, I bought some beano and I took it for the first time before lunch today - the veggie barley ragout. So far, so good! emoticon The ragout turned out great - very flavorful. Although according to the recipe it is rather high in sodium - 440 mg per serving. I'm not sure where that number came from. I need to enter the ingredients that I use and see that number change!

Busy day today. Went to the gym, then came home and cleaned house for a couple of hours. Got two loads of laundry done. I may go for a walk this afternoon. It's supposed to be nice out.

Enjoy your day! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Hey Sue, emoticon

I had a super busy day yesterday which included looking up some new recipes to try. This morning I made a vegetable barley ragout - smells heavenly. Later I'm going to try meatballs made with ground chicken. That'll be interesting. And I want to get some veggies cooked, too.

My legs are sore! I must have worked out a little harder at the gym than I realized yesterday. And here's something else I learned yesterday. Don't be in a big hurry to eat more fiber! YIKES! Usually I don't get enough fiber. Yesterday I got plenty! I was so uncomfortable I couldn't even lay down to sleep. It was awful. I'll be more careful, for sure! emoticon

SparkCoach advised me today that I was finished with the 90 day program and would be moving on to something else. I elected to restart the 90 day program, and this time do take it seriously and do the action steps. I know I can do this!

Today, besides cooking, I'm taking it easy. Didn't sleep much last night and I'm exhausted. Good reason to read a book and take a nap. Thanks for the cabbage and broccoli. I bought some yummy grapes. Here are some for you! emoticon
