WELCOME! to my Spark Page.

Come, sit down and have a cup of tea while we get to know each other!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

With the season of Autumn comes cool crisp days and nights, along with the bountiful harvest of the fruits of our labors.
For me it has also meant a lot of changes in my life.

I have a bible verse to share that means a lot to me right now...

1 Corinthians 10:13
"No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it"

The past year has had its share of trials and tribulations for me.
I recently received a diagnosis of arthritis in my knees.
I am learning how important it is to stay close to the Lord during these trials that I am facing. For I can do nothing without His help.
God is calling me to become closer to Him as I deal with the challenges that arthritis brings.

    Hi Sue!

So good to hear from you. Our weather has been pretty goofy here, too. What is happening to our world? I saw on the news this morning that California is suffering from flooding and mudslides. But here we're in the 60's!

I'm sorry to hear you bruised your knee. I've just finished a few weeks of physical therapy for my back, and the hardest thing about it all is to realize I can't do what I used to do. But I still keep trying to get away with it. It's time for me to face the facts - I'm middle-aged. I don't like that one bit.

I haven't had a lot of energy to tackle projects, either. My computer room is desperately in need of decluttering and cleaning. I just don't want to face all the piles of paperwork that seem to spring up overnight. It isn't even really an overwhelming job, I just don't want to do it. Ha! I do have my energy back, though, after having that virus last week. I felt like I'd been run over by a truck and left for dead. I think I got it at the hospital, cuz Mom was admitted for what turned out to be an obstructed bowel. It did reverse itself and she is home and getting her energy back, too. Life!

Take good care of yourself, my friend. Slow down, rest, accept help. Oh, I hate even writing that - I never take my own advice. Have a beautiful day and keep in touch!

It's crazy cold here, too. This morning the temp was 0 with -11 wind chill. I had to go out to physical therapy in that. I was thankful that my car started. I let it warm up for a bit before I went out.

I usually don't like to go out in this weather unless I have to, but one of my girlfriends just invited me out to dinner tonight. We're celebrating her retirement. We both retired from the same place - prison! And our payroll lady (still working) is going with us. It will be nice to get out of this house and have a few laughs with friends. I should do it more often.

Life is more important than Spark, so don't feel guilty about taking care of yourself and your family. I let Spark slip through my fingers for a bit last Spring. In fact, the only reason I'm on so much now is because of the Biggest Loser Challenge I joined. Always something to do. We've just started week 5 and the challenge runs for 10 weeks. Starting during the holidays wasn't great for me. I gained weight the first 3 weeks, then lost 2 pounds last week. And not being able to exercise has been tough. But I'm on the mend and hopefully will be able to do more soon.

I'm glad to see you back, Girlfriend. Take care of you and stay warm! emoticon

Don't you disappear, now. Tell me about your teams. What do you do on them? Do you like them? After the Biggest Loser Challenge I'll be looking for something a little more sedate and way less time consuming. But something active, with little challenges.

Have a beautiful day, Sue. Keep in touch!
