HOPING FOR HEALTH

Hi my name is Pat, I am 66 and recently retired. I need to lose 100 lbs. I am not a physically active person. My goal is to get healthy and lose enough weight that I can do the tings I want to.I know this will be a long journey but I am motivated and determined. I recently purchased SP Activity tracker. Seems to be improving my motivation. Need That!

Thank you for commenting on my blog, "I need a stress test." The cardiologist thinks it was probably a digestive issue, but my family history gave him cause to also want an echocardiogram to check the heart valves.

You are doing well in your weight loss. I don't know if you like lemons, but I was fighting my weight going up and down. I would cut a lemon and put the pulp into tea along with the juice and it stopped the weight gain. I haven't been doing that lately and should get back to doing it.

Dr. Oz had a segment on his show yesterday (8/11/14) about making sure to eat enough protein, that it can help people to lose weight. I have also read here at Spark People that increasing the calories briefly may also help. I wish success for you and I too have over 100 lbs. to lose.

Thank you for your comments on my blog titled If Gravity didn't exist... I got into talking about fixing other people's problems and you said it's a problem for you as well. I know you can kick the habit of saying yes automatically! We both can do it! We'll work on fixing our own problems first and foremost!
