Working, living and loving every day. Life is a little bit of a struggle sometimes. But overall it is pretty good.
I am a mom, a grandma, a school social worker at two different middle schools, a pescetarian and
a wife. I wanted to be a Buddhist but I kind of sucked at it.
This summer I was awesome healthy. I exercised every day, I used my Fitbit and Sparkpeople religiously. School started and Bam! Down the rabbit hole I went. Exercising and healthy eating are a challenge right now. I am getting back on track.
Dreaming of going into private practice, living off the grid and homesteading someday. Hoping to live a healthy, fit and authentic life were I have more control over my food supply, my energy supply and most importantly my own time!
To be healthy, happy and well balanced. To help others be healthy and happy.
I burn 500 plus calories per day by walking. I am looking to ad some cardio and strength training soon. I eat between 1400 and 1800 calories per day. I use my Fitbit and a Striiv to make sure I get 10,000 steps and five miles per day.
I am from Ada, MI. I am a clinical social worker. I have a beautiful husband. We have three sons, two daughters and a granddaughter between us.
I love books. I love Buddhism. I love eating organic, healthy, real food. I love the Slow Food Movement. I love journeys of self discovery, moments of being connected and one with all living things, divine inspirations and chocolate! :)

I saw your post...first of all YOU ARE NOT A HIPPO! You can get that weight off easily with some good ole determination. I worked in the social service field...in fact that is where I met my husband over 20 years ago. A desk job doesn't help...however you will get so much support here. The food tracker is the favorite tool around here. Tracking everything has really helped so many people. Make sure to track all beverages/empty calories too. Best wishes to you on your journey!

Read your thread and wanted to stop by and give you some encouragement. First of all, I've done EA Active 30 challenge a couple of times and just got My Fitness Trainer. I'm with you - Mya is tough! And the Physical Challenges - I don't like the look on her face when I'm counting my push ups!!
Anyway, the same thing happened to me. Suddenly I was over 160. Apparently, I don't know how or when it happened. LOL. (But remember, I am over 5 inches shorter than you.) Anyway, that was just mid-May. I am now at 138 and just back into a size 6. I still have 18 pounds to go, but I feel so amazing again. I feel like myself again. So, relax. Just find your groove, keep happy thoughts, speak sweetly to yourself, and start to dream and feel what it will be like when you're down to 135. Those things are as important as nutrition and exercise.
I can't wait to hear you telling me, "You were right! It did go fast!"
