06/07/2015 - I am back on Spark to try a different approach. I guess returning is not different, but the way I intend to live it is different. I read what I wrote below, I think it was April of 2014, and I realize that I still embrace that philosophy. My goal today is to realize I have the ability to make the changes! April 2014 - Embrace the positive, ditch the negative. It's all in the attitude. The one thing in life we have the power to change is our attitude. I have a choice! Do I want to live my days with a bad attitude? Heck No! I want to live with joy in my heart - even when the situation is not particularly joyous.
The bad attitude that I allowed to take over my mind has interfered with my life on so many levels. Now I am thinking positively, and with that energy, I will be able to accomplish so much. Weight loss will be a part of those accomplishments, but more importantly, I will find peace within.

My Goals:
Eat mindfully - food will not fill any emotional void, but will overflow my jeans!
Move often - my body has gotten stiff with non-use. Give it time, be gentle, and soon you will see its strength.
Live with gratitude - I have been blessed with a beautiful family and great health. Sometimes these gifts go unnoticed and unappreciated, I must remember to give thanks often!

Today is June 11th, 2015. I continue on my journey of self-acceptance, as I believe once that is fully realized, all will fall into place. I am trying to create new habits to replace old, unproductive ones by using spark streaks.

I am happy to hear that you have an "on track" streak going! emoticon Keep up the good work!! emoticon My week is going pretty well, too - it is hot and humid here, so I haven't spent too much time outside. I am anxious for cooler temperatures again - Fall is my favorite season!

Good morning and Happy Monday!! :) I hope you had a good weekend!! I had a basketball tournament to be at.... gone 12 hrs. one day and 6 hours the next. However, I planned all my food and did not go off plan so I'm excited and anxious for my weigh in tonight! :) What's up for you this week? My goal for this week is to treat it like week one.... (I try to do that every week actually). Summer is NOT my friend. It's going to be hot this week. So my mini goal.... try not to complain and eat watermelon! And Lose lose lose! :) emoticon

Thanks for your note on my blog! Congrats on signing up for that tri in September! What is your hardest part to train for?

I remember when my daughter started high school too. That did hit me hard then also. It's probably also hard for her too (even if she doesn't want to admit it). So many changes going on at that age, and drama with friends. Hope it is a smooth transition for all!

My daughter is going to be about a 5 hour drive away. So close enough I can drive there if need be, but also a pretty long drive so that it would make it hard for her to come home when she is homesick. She tells me right now that she plans on calling me every day but we'll see if that happens. LOL Hope your weekend turned out a little better.
