Thanks for you comment on my "Bikes and Beer" blog. I live in the Rocky Mountains. Rideable roads are few. I have a cross bike which works on the rough pavement and dirt roads around here. I sold my pure road bike.
I have lived in other places where riding a road bike would be a lot of fun. However, I live in the middle of some of the best mountain biking terrain in the World! People travel from all over the globe to ride mountain trails that are just a few miles from my house.
Thanks for the comment on the blog (about the truck bike carrier).
And you are sooooo right when you say "its all bout the bike" hahaha. About 3 or 4 weeks ago I fell off my bike....one of those clipless pedal forget to unclip things. Where the only thing that gets hurt is your pride.
Anyway, as I fell, I rolled to my back and lift the bike high in the air. (1 foot was still clipped in and my hand were on the hoods ... so i was easy to lift as I rolled.)
I gentle let the bike come to rest on the ground. Were there scratches? On me yes. On the bike NO! BIG WIN!!!! 779 days ago
