How are you doing with your program? I just re-read your reasons for losing weight. I guess I haven't been reading mine as often as I should, though it was every day for awhile, and I had been keeping to my program. Went off a bit yesterday. Back on today and not even tempted to deviate. I know so well it's worth it to face down the urges when they come, and I often do, yet I have my slip-ups. Oh, well!
Awww, thank you! I'm so glad it caught your eye, and you prompted me to go remind myself what I had written! I put a lot of thought into my Beck cards, but I haven't carried them around for while. I think today I'll go dig them out (in a former purse) and begin to carry them with me again. I really love the Beck program!
Sadly, I have backslid since I wrote those cards and gained some weight. I'm at my highest weight yet and have been really struggling, so now I'm working hard to turn things around.
I love that you said you will free up energy and attention for other pursuits. At some point, I hope this all becomes much more routine, and the pain will be more a thing of the past. This can't be all we were meant to do on earth! For myself, I'm giving myself the rest of the year to get to my goal weight, and another year of focused attention to it to seal the habits. After that, I, too, hope to turn to other passions-- and before that, too. Good luck to both of us!
