♥LOVE MY FAMILY♥ ♥LOVE MY FRIENDS♥ ♥LOVE MY LIFE♥

I REALLY WISH THAT I HAD BEEN TAUGHT HOW TO EAT REAL FOOD EARLY ON--THEN I WOULD HAVE NEVER GOTTEN TO THE POINT WHERE I NEEDED WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY. BUT, WHEN YOU KNOW BETTER, YOU DO BETTER.

I WAS A POOR CHILD AND A PRODUCT OF CHEAP GOVERNMENT FOOD LIKE PROCESSED CHEESE, WHITE RICE, POWDERED MILK AND EATING THAT JUNK PLUS ALL THE WEIGHTLOSS LIES NEARLY KILLED ME, LITERALLY!
HERE'S MY STORY...

BAND REVISION COMING SOON!

I was so heavy at 5'2" and 265 lbs that I was beginning to have trouble walking because my knee joints were compressing due to all the weight placed on them. I hobbled and hurt everytime I took a step. My Dr. told me I would soon be in a wheel chair if the weight didn't come off.

So you ask, why didn't you just stop eating and lose weight? Well the problem was WHAT I was eating. I have learned that my body does not process grains, dairy and sugar properly, so every time I ate what the most popular diets recommend such as whole grains, skim milk, and legumes, I was just setting myself up for failure.

For over 35 years I would lose weight and then gain it right back and then some. I tried every diet out there and it wasn't until I got my lapband in 2010 that I felt I even had a chance at being at a healthy weight. The band allowed me time to research and protected me from myself until I could find a healthy lifestyle that would work for me for the rest of my life. I have consistantly lost weight without gaining for the last 2 years--for once the yo-yo dieting is over. I also follow the Paleo Solution Diet and eat natural, clean, unprocessed foods, do moderate exercise and participate regularly in my SP Support Team.

I lost over 100 lbs with the lapband, but looking back now, it wasn't the band that did it, although it helped me come back from the point of no return into obesity oblivion, it was me. I had changed my lifestyle for 3 years.

Then reality set in and I had to go back to work in a high pressure, high stress job located 45 miles from my home and the weight loss became a slow weigh gain until I had gained 50 lbs back.

I was no longer able to eat slow and have time to prepare my meals. I had to cook everything on the weekend, freeze it and throw it into a bag each day. I got more and more away from my good clean eating and BECAUSE of my band, was constantly grabbing foods that would go down quickly without me sliming and throwing up. Those foods included raisins, and lots of fruit which led to carb overloads which then led to cookies, ice cream, chips, etc and BOOM! I was down that same road again. The one I said I would never go down. You see I am a food addict and just like any other addiction, it only takes one time.

I'm having my lapband removed, it's caused me to make unhealthy choices when I didn't have time to fight with it when I was tired and hungry. It was great when I was taking it easy, but it's now a deterrent to healthy eating for me. I am getting it out and having the sleeve procedure done. I need a tool that allows me to eat clean, raw foods.

My marbles must be rolling around on the floor -- I replied to you on my page. Here it is:

You can talk about personal things as long as they pertain to the job and your field, e.g., related volunteer work you've done while you were out of the workforce. Actually, that would be good, as employers wonder why someone hasn't been working. Always important to be able to account for gaps with positive things.

Shall we talk? ....easier than writing out all the things that came to mind while reading your blog. Perhaps I can give you some things to think about that haven't occurred to you. The weekend is good for me if it works for you. Or late-ish Friday afternoon? Other?

emoticon we can do some brainstorming (even if I don't know your field specifically)
