What a loving husband does to your body!

About 6 years ago my BFF and I did the low carb diet & we were workout buddies. We did great together and were both about 145-150. We were both down to a size 10 and loving every minute of it.

Well I met my future husband and she got pregnant. I gained about 45-50lbs since I met my husband nearly 4-5 years ago. My loving husband just loved me a little to much and I've allowed myself to get even FLUFFIER... As he puts it, "your well proportioned I can't notice that you gained ...

As he puts it, "your well proportioned I can't notice that you gained weight." Well in his defense, he loves a healthy woman with junk in her trunk!!! And he didn't force the food down my throat!!

I just started last week no induction or anything, just TRYING to cut out the carbs. But with my crappy memory I can't for the life of me remember how I did it the first time around. To add insult to injury, I now have IBS and the Doctor told me not to use Artificial Sweeteners. After I gave them up noticed a huge difference, no more pain. I figured since I was giving up sweeteners, I'd have to give up diet soda. I wasn't going to drink regular soda, since regular soda has what like 8 teaspoons of sugar per can !?! ~~~ no thanks!

I usually don't have time in the morning to make a great breakfast since I'm busy getting my daughter ready for school. By the time I get to myself I just want to leave the house & get to work. I have on occassion made deviled eggs for breakfast or boiled eggs & Turkey Bacon. Which after a while gets old & boring!!! So lately its been PB&J on wheat or low cal butter on wheat with a cup of tea.

So far my diet consist of chicken, ground turkey, salad, veggies: asparagus, green beans, broccoli, zucchini. Ever since I tried low carb the first time I've learned to curb the rice monster (being hispanic that is hard). I love pasta (is it alright to eat wheat pasta?), bread I can take it or leave it, but I MUST, MUST MUST eat my bowl of cereal every night. I have tried eating a wheat cereal (the healthy version of Lucky Charms), frosted shredded mini wheats (yes i know it has sugar on it ). But I am willing to try other cereals that won't "hurt" me in the long run. Its been so long that if anyone can help me out with a basic grocery shopping list, I'd greatly appreciate it. All suggestions appreciated. I look forward to learning from everyone and getting back to a healthy size 10

P.S. My adorable 11 yr old is an unhealthy 131 lbs, she is almost my height (5') and I am also doing this for her. How can I tell her to lose weight if Mommy is overweight herself. We both started walking last week, she actually loves it. She's a SUPER PICKY eater and developmentally delayed. so trying to get her to try healthier alternatives to her "normal" food is going to be my biggest challenge yet.

My Goals:
My Goal is to be healthy. As I've gained weight, I've noticed that I don't feel as healthy. My knees hurt and so does my back.

My Program:
I bought a Wii & Wii Fit. The excercise is fun & entertaining, we love it. I can't do no carb due to the fact that I can't eat anything that contains Aspartame due to IBS. So low calorie & smaller meals will have to do. My biggest weakness is sweets!

Personal Information:
My family has called me Littles since High School (20 years now). Guess its because I'm the shortest one in the family!

Other Information:
I LOVE playing video games. Just got a XBOX360 for my birthday.

emoticon Glad to see you on the HCG SUPPORT GROUP Team. Although Sparkpeople doesn't support the diet AT ALL, we are glad we have the team to discuss our progress and get information. I have finished two rounds and am doing wonderful. I've done the injections with the 1/2" Insulin Syringe and using the real HuCog HCG and had great results. So, I don't care what others say about it, because it works for me.
