I have some health issues Fybromyalgia and type 2 diabetes.. So that's what really motivated me in getting my act together in eating more healthy and exercising.. It's not just a fix but a life time change for me.
I started a Spark Team for exercising called "Let's Get Physical". Because truthfully, I hate exercising and by having a team it motivates me to do better not just for myself but for those on the team. Plus, it helps take the boredom out of it by having others who have the same goals instead of just doing it on your own.. So come join me on the team and let's motivate each other.
We challenge ourselves to keep a streak going even if it's only for 10 mins. a day. All the health experts say, and tell you that you should do it everyday or minimum of 3 times a week. Or you take the chances of regaining your weight back.
For a life time commitment it's good to incorporate both, eating healthy and exercising. Doing just one and not the other just doesn't work in a long term range and my goal is to have the weight off for good and not have it come back.
We can always find excuses to not exercise, but instead we should look for reasons why we should be. Positive thinking is the way to overcome challenges we face daily.

My long term goal is to get into a size 5/7 at 135/145 pounds, more or less. I'm 5'5" so I want to be the weight that looks good and healthy.
My goal is to work hard at getting thin or I should say healthy again, so my husband and I can plan another honeymoon to Tahiti and stay at a nice luxury hotel.. But I won't plan for it till I reach my goal weight. However, I'll plan the weight lost and dream of a thinner/healthier me on the beach, sipping on a cool drink.
My program right now is eating a low glycemic diabetic diet plan.
My menu plan is low in fat/ no sugar/ and high in fiber/And lots of fruits and vegetables.
Drink half of my body weight in oz. daily.
Exercise daily even if it's only for 10 mins a day. Work and rest different muscle groups a day.
I like hiking, walking, and work-out video's. For entertainment I like to go out to the movies. Of course I'll sneak in my own healthy snacks and not eat that high calorie ones they offer.
I love to bowl, sing, act, and horseback ride, traveling, and I'm a professional Photographer. I just do it as a hobby, not for career reasons.
My birthday is on March 7th. Turning 21 every year.. LOL. I hear that exercise is the secret to the fountain of youth. Now that's a great motivator for me. At least I would like to put the breaks on getting old. So my goal is to incorporate exercise daily or no less then 3 x's a week.
I love animals and treat them like my children more then as pets. I have one old white cat, and one dog a Papillon and two parakeets, plus one cockatiel. My mother always thought I end up being a veterinarian but instead I chose to be a mother and homemaker.
My health, I wish was better. I suffer with Fibromyalgia (FMS) or (CPS) and also have adult type 2 diabetes and suffer with a mild case of asthma.
I try not to fuss over my aches and pains and work through them. My hope is by changing my life style and taking better care of myself by eating more healthy and exercising I'll feel and look better.
