I'm a 30-something woman who has discovered that shifting those extra pounds has become harder with each extra year. I've been through several fluctuations with my weight in the past and tried a few different diets. My Goals:
I want to get down to the weight that Spark People recommends for my height and stay there. I hope that in so doing I will feel healthy, happy and fit!

My Program:
SP's brilliant calorie counter is my new best friend - I've already become so much more aware of what I consume and how big my portions should be. Along side this I am trying to do at least my 10 mins of exercise a day. I'm not a gym bunny and never will be but little changes have made big differences. I've even started going to a class once a week!

Personal Information:
I'm a Scottish lassie, born in Edinburgh and living there now - despite a move to Glasgow aged 8. I love both cities as Glasgow is where I really grew up (crucial teenage years) and is a vibrant, exciting place and Edinburgh is beautiful and where most of my friends live. I was born in 1977 and so I'm 35, nearly 36 but not feeling much like either yet. In my mind I think I'm about 28...

Other Information:
I love vegetarian food, art, books, films and shopping. I personally think shopping should count as an exercise.

I'm right there with you, I need to restart as well. Lost 25 pounds and gained them all back. I was enjoying eating any and everything I wanted for far too long and now I'm paying the price at my highest weight EVER! Hopefully getting back on track. If you think its difficult at 30 try being 60 (twice as difficult) but am taking one day at a time. I have faith that we both will reach our goals! emoticon

YEP....there are LOTS of us who will ALWAYS have to watch what we eat and make sure we exercise. We get TIRED of the fight but let's don't give up. I'm not at goal yet......I have my lack of motivation days...but this time I have a different attitude and mindset and that is the biggest part of the battle. It's not a diet anymore, it's a lifestyle. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Good luck. emoticon
