This is a good question for me to answer...good for me to really think about my answer and write it down.
Social events are really tough for me too...vacations and holidays. I know myself well enough to NOT expect perfection. That only leads to failure and huge disappoinment in myself.
All through this journey, during the weight loss and even in maintainance, I have allowed myself breaks on holidays, vacations and other special days to eat what I want. Some years I have done better than others. Year before last I kinda lost my way after a vacation followed by the holidays. It was June of the next year before I got my act together and lost the 15 or so pounds I had put back on. It was TOUGH, and I vowed I would never let that happen again. I still allow myself the breaks, but I get right back to the plan once the break is over. NO EXCUSES. I have found that weight gained quickly is generally lost quickly...IF YOU DON'T LET IT HANG AROUND. The longer the extra weight hangs around, the harder it is to lose.

Sounds like you are headed in the right direction!! I need to step up my workouts. I joined a challenge on facebook that my friend told me about that she's doing with people from her work so hopefully thatll help me out. Hows C25k going for you?
