Getting Fit at 40(-something)

An on-again, off-again exerciser, I am making a renewed effort to recover my youthful health and figure. It may be harder than ever to lose the extra pounds after 40, but it is amazing how strong and responsive my body can be when I take good care of it! I am enjoying my journey and would like to share it with you.

My Goals:
Goal #1: Become addicted to exercise. I want to miss my workouts when I don't do them, and crave activity that gets me up and moving!

My Program:
Summer schedule: Yoga twice a week, barre class once a week, 3.5 mile walks twice a week, strength and core work with trainer once a week, and squeeze in a run once or twice a week (3 miles or so).

Personal Information:
I am a 40-something with one teenage child. I am a teacher and a writer who enjoys summers off to spend with my family, catch up on writing, and get back to a fitness routine!
