Life, weight and thoughts

Hi, I'm Lita, I'm 45 years old, I'm married to a very fit guy and I have a 13 year old son. Every year I decide I will lose weight, every year I fail.

Now I have a severe health condition that affects my hearing and my daily life (Tinnitus/TTTS/Hyperacusis) and need urgently to change my life style - maybe it helps!

I have also alopecia fibrosis that causes hair loss and affects terribly my eyebrows and hair and also my self esteem.

My Program:
Walking at least 30 minutes everyday


Reduce sweets, wheat and fats. Reduce portions. Introduce healthy snacks and meals. Drink water every hour.

Personal Information:
My name is Lita, I'm 45, I am married for 17 years and have a 12 year old boy.

I'm a stay-at-home mom and that made me gain lots of extra weight.

My husband is a very fit and cute guy 4 years younger than me and I need to catch up!

I have severe hair loss, which makes me feel horrible. I am trying to be a better person, more active and interesting as I have tendency to be very negative and passive. I lost 7 very close and dear persons in the last 10 years (including my mom, my grandma and my best friend) and that made me a lonely and insecure person.

Since March 2014 I developed a terrible medical condition, tinnitus, that makes me hear like a car engine vibrating inside my right ear and makes my life miserable - being fat and half bald is not important anymore - now I know the difference between "serious" and "real serious".

I want to be happier and losing weight is one of the things I have to do.

I posted at my photo gallery 3 pictures of my husband's birthday 2012, 2013 and 2014. Next year, on 30th April 2015 I want to give him a better wife inside and outside. I am doing it for me but also for him.

Next year on his birthday I want to have a nice picture. I want to weigh much less.

Walking is the best exercise you can do. I do a few stretching exercises and ride my recumbent exercise bike ( see my fitness log). But for me, cutting out the evening snacking, and cutting the sodium as low as I can has helped a huge amount. Another thing I'm doing: I'm adding 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to 1/2 cup water and drinking it first thing every morning. It tastes awful but is supposed to help burn fat as well as help with inflammation which I have in my back. I've only been doing it for a week but I lost 4.6 lbs this past week, so something is working.
