Be Fit to Live, Don't Live to be Fit
I'm a 41 year old mother of two in Sacramento, CA. I LOVE to strength train, and am learning to love to run. Through weight training since 2007, I have lost about 50# without serious dieting. Now, I know I can't slack off, and if I want to get down to my goal, I am going to have to eat healthy. Consistently. THAT'S the HARDEST thing for me to do!

My Goals:
I WOULD like to say I want to do it to have more enery to play with my kids (done!) would like to say that I do it for my health (luckily, healthy!) Let's just say I'm VAIN and would like to wear jeans that fit my ass, and not my belly.
My Program:
I strength train at least 3x a week with my husband, and am running up to 5x a week. Every so often, my friend Nigel (my trainer) will kick my butt with a workout, designed to up my anaerobic threshold, so I can run stronger. Also am incorporating yoga 2x a week to counteract all the shortening of the muscles I do. NOW, comes the hard part. Portion control. I love how this site not only lets me track calories, but carbs, fat, and protein (and anything else) as well!
Other Information:
I'm currently in Sacramento, married to my soulmate, Rob. We've got two fantabulous kids, Taylor & Logan. Over the past three years, I've finally taken an interest in my health again. Other than Rob, my partner in crime is Nigel who acts as my carrot. After multiple trainers, he's the only one who has been able to keep me motivated top get stronger by not killing me in the process. Sometimes the going is slow, but I know I'm gonna stay this way because it is. I've found that being active again is good therapy, and having someone good to talk to is equally helpful.
