Life is too short to live it being unhappy and unhealthy...

I started trying to improve myself in November of 2012. I was thinking that if I could lose 25 pounds, I would simply be happier and healthier. I didn't realize that there was more to it than just losing those pounds. What else? My behaviors and attitudes need to change as well.
I despise dieting, and exercise has been even lower on my 'to do list.' But I am happy to announce that is changing!

My Goals:
Pass my wellness test at work for a discount on my health insurance, and be the best I can be for my family! Participate and finish in my first 5K on May 18th this year. Make new friends!

My Program:
Eating non-processed foods as much as possible and sticking to my calorie budget. Figuring out how to start an exercise program and stay with it.

Personal Information:
Single Illinois mother of two adult children and grandmother of one adorable little one.

Other Information:
I loathe exercise, I am physically active at work and find it extremely difficult to get motivated to do more besides taking care of my home. I work an alternating day/night shift, so I don't have friend support during the week to help. How do I get going on my own?
