Hello. My name is Lisa and I have passed 40. Things have really changed since I first joined Sparkpeople. I have lost my job and got a new one, and had a new baby. Some other things have changed as well. I do not binge eat as much as I used to, but I still have some trouble with eating well and exercising. Having the baby was very beneficial for me, as I lost some weight afterward. Now I want to continue on the weight loss journey, and not lose sight of this goal. I still do not feel ...
I still do not feel and look the way I want to, and this is no longer acceptable. I have also an increased desire to cook, which is a good thing. I am looking for constant motivation and recipes that are healthy and taste good, because I have a picky eater in the house.

I used to be afraid of turning 40. I am no longer afraid, and I admit, 40 was not bad. I look forward to acheiving my goals and enjoying myself.

Age is only a number, we are all getting older and wiser. Live life to its fullest, be as healthy as you can be and be thankful that you live to see each birthday that you can. So many people do not even live to see age 40. Keep your chin up and don't let it get the best of you. Good luck with your weight loss journey. emoticon

Hey,
it's so good to read that I'm not alone. I read from people having one binge day but getting back on track. They always told me just to get back on track again. No problem. But I can't for weeks now and I thought I'm all alone with this mess. Good to know that I'm not. :) But we won't give up, so we'll succeed!! ;)

Hey Lisa, I was reading the comments on EE abot your bad day, with an eating binge, and I just wanted to say that girl, I sooo feel you!!! :) I have made EE into a horrible monster by letting it take over my life. I gave in and gave in to it so many times, that I ended up super overweight, and no longer in touch with myself or my feelings. I didnt even know what I was feeling or thinking, except that I didnt want to be addicted to food any more. You dont have pictures up, or your weight, but I want to tell you, keep fighting, dont give in, feel those feelings, think those thoughts, even if they hurt, or frustrate you. Dont push yourself away. I am finally starting to conquer this horrible habit, and I feel so much better. Even when I hurt, I feel so relieved that I can actually feel it! I dont know anyone more addictd to food than I have been, and if I can do it, y'all can!!! lol Good luck, chica
